This six semester program prepares students with advanced skills for the increasingly competitive, global and innovative fashion and retail industries. The curriculum in semesters one to four provides a strong foundation in business and fashion studies. In the final two semesters of this program, students gain further knowledge in specialized areas such as fashion product development, exporting and sourcing for apparel and marketing communications. Graduates are prepared with the necessary technical and ‘soft’ skills that will allow them to select from the widest range of career opportunities that are emerging in the marketplace today. Beyond classroom study, students learn "in the field" as they complete a Work Study internship and practical field assignments as well as attend industry visits and events in Toronto. Students acquire real management at the program’s on-campus clothing store, Boutique@Seneca.
Graduates will find employment opportunities in buying, merchandising, marketing and promotion, wholesale sales agency management, product development, marketing, logistics, exporting, sourcing, quality control for the fashion and retail industries and as entrepreneurs.Your Career
